Children in the AM Preschool learn and develop through play in the following three areas: socio-emotionally, cognitively, and physically. Socio-emotional growth is fostered through cooperative play. Children use dramatic play to act out real life situations and problem-solving skills are emphasized. The development of self-help skills in dressing, toileting, and eating are also emphasized in this classroom. Children develop cognitively as they continue to gain understanding of number concepts through sequencing, counting and recognition. Physical development is cultivated through attention to small and large motor skills incorporated into daily lesson plans. Every aspect of the classroom is intentionally designed to help your child grow.
