Kelly Mertes

Welcome to Milestones CDC! I am Kelly Mertes and I have been with Milestones since we opened in 2005, becoming the program director of our Belmont center when we opened that location in June of 2007. In 2015, I was promoted to the role of regional director of the company. I have so enjoyed watching this company grow and am glad to be a part of it!

Right out of high school, I attended community college earning my Associates Degree with emphasis in education. I took time out from college and worked with young children at a local child care center for a number of years both as a teacher and director. Later, I continued my education and graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Grand Valley State University in 2000. I have taken a multitude of child development classes and trainings, earning my CDA in 2005. I am married to my wonderful husband, James, and we have three active, beautiful children, Conner, Jacob and Alyssa. Working with young children is my passion because I enjoy watching children grow, discover, play, laugh, and make connections that will build the foundation for the years of learning to come.
