Social - emotional: developing cooperative play skills, ability to express their feelings to teachers and friends. Understanding of different roles within the classroom. Have begun to develop turn-taking skills and practical problem solving during conflict in the classroom. Continuation of self-help skills in dressing, toileting and eating.
Cognitive: developing patterning skills, sorting skills, counting and letter/sound recognition.
Physical: small motor skills children are encouraged to begin early writing skills with tools provided. Tracing, cutting, stamping and fitting puzzles together. Large motor skills that children are working on include running, jumping on one foot, walking backwards and balancing.
