  • Hello, my name is Kelly Russell and I am the owner and manager of Milestones Child Development Centers, a local Michigan based business. For as long as I can remember I have wanted to be a teacher. Growing up in Michigan in a family that holds a strong presence in the field of education, they taught me the importance of early childhood education. I attended Western Michigan University earning a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education and then continued my studies to complete my Child Development Associates Credential. I have been working with children for the past 14 years teaching preschool and directing child development centers. Teaching Early Childhood curriculum is where my passion lies and is what sparked my interest in opening my own school where I could use my expertise to create and implement programs which would be of great value, learning and fun for children. Every aspect of Milestones' centers continue to be created with the best interests of the children who attend our schools. The Cascade center opened in the fall of 2005 and has proven to be every bit the success I envisioned. After 2 years, a second location was opened in the Belmont / Rockford area, in June of 2007. In 2010, adding to our family of centers, Milestones acquired a beautiful facility in the Hastings area. All locations are state-of-the-art, 10,000 square foot facilities with spacious playgrounds. I am very thankful to have a wonderful administrative and teaching team around me every day, making Milestones a very special place for your children.
